Volunteering

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our centre. By joining as a volunteer, you help our wetlands, their inhabitants and contribute to their ongoing conservation and restoration. You can participate in any of the variety of activities undertaken by the centre to suit your energy and pace. The work is rewarding with the best of the natural environment and the most cheerful team!

Supervised landcare volunteering days are held every Thursday and Friday from 9am to 4pm. You can assist with a range of activities including seed collecting, propagating, planting, weeding, reticulation, water-wise garden maintenance and more. There may also be the opportunity to assist with some of our educational programs and major events.

Experience is not essential but a love of the outdoors and the ability to cope with a morning tea cuppa surrounded by 5-star views is!

Would you like to try us out for a day and meet our friendly staff and volunteers? If so please contact the Centre on 9417 8460 or email community@cockburnwetlands.org.au
